Founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1853 by a man named Rudolph Wurlitzer, the Wurlitzer piano company was an American classic. In 1880, Wurlitzer began building its own pianos (previously, it imported German instruments primarily for the US military). The company quickly became famous for making beautiful - yet affordable - instruments for the home. The name was later sold to Baldwin and is now owned by Gibson.
This lovely example of Wurlitzer craftsmanship is a bit deceptive at first. At a glance, one might think it's a traditional-looking home piano like most everything else built around the same time. Up close, however, you can see that it's not a walnut finish at all. In fact, it's a dark ash wood finish. Then, when you open it's grand-piano-style top lid and see the piano in its full glory, you can't deny its beauty. This piano is in fine shape and it comes with a 2-year warranty. Take it home and start playing! Years of enjoyment await you!
