At one time, Cincinnati, Ohio, was a bustling industrial center full of piano manufacturers like Baldwin and Wurlitzer. For Wurlitzer, piano production begin in 1880. The company also produced organs and important European products like jukeboxes and melodeons (all sold under the "Wurlitzer" name). In the late 1900s, Wurlitzer purchased Chickering and was then absorbed by Baldwin.

This beautiful decorator console upright piano is an excellent example of Wurlitzer at its best. Built in 1995 - the year Baldwin purchased Wurlitzer - this incredible instrument is very young by American piano standards.
