Sherman Clay began selling pianos in 1870. At one time, they were America's oldest and largest piano retailer. From time to time, Sherman Clay would contract with companies like Samick, Kimball and Haddorf to build pianos for them under the "Sherman Clay" brand name. Though Sherman Clay closed its last store in 2013 and turned its focus to piano financing instead of retail, many of these "Sherman Clay" branded pianos still appear around the US.
This gorgeous, 1983 Sherman Clay console piano was made by the Kimball Piano Company for American homes. Featuring a very simple, traditional cabinet, warm accents and a medium oak finish, this piano looks "right" in just about any living room.
