Built around an innovative approach to traditional European piano teaching, Ostinato Piano Studio helps students become well-rounded musicians. The studio is led by husband-and-wife concert pianists and teaching artists Dr. Svetlana Obregon Saens and Dr. Vitaly Serebriakov, who hold doctoral degrees in piano performance and have more than 35 years of combined teaching experience.

Ostinato offers comprehensive, enjoyable piano lessons for kids and adults, from motivated beginners to advanced students. Lessons are individualized and supportive, emphasizing proper technique, beautiful tone, careful listening, purposeful practice, musical expression, and an understanding of piano repertoire. Students expand their repertoire, strengthen rhythm, sight-reading, ear training, and theory knowledge, and develop a deep appreciation—even passion—for classical music.

Students have opportunities to participate in recitals, the Arizona Study Program, piano competitions, and ASMTA, PMTA, and EVMTA events. The studio’s goal is for students to learn not only how to play the piano, but also how to understand deeper musical meaning and develop artistic confidence.
